BEFORE & AFTER - MASTER BEDROOM
It's about time and long overdue to share these before and after photos of the house. I have talked about sharing the guest bedroom but I think our master bedroom would be way more interesting to share. The fact that Frank had to fight wallpaper for a few weeks was a real nightmare to him but I thought it was rather hilarious. Let's put it this way, there was endless swearing on his end.
Part of the room was covered with a beautiful floral straw wallpaper. I really wished we could have kept it but we couldn't. The area where a bed was resting had signs of worn and all was left was just wallpaper. Plus, the amount of dust that accumulated on the wallpaper was another reason to take it down.
After the wallpapers came down, the walls were textured a little, painted a coat of black, followed by a coat of white to make the entire space look aged and lived in. Next, we put in new flooring and we were ready to move in.
The old closet door and fixtures were all removed. We got IKEA's PAX wardrobe system fitted into the closet which allowed us to get more organized and saved tons of space, making the tiny room feel larger than it is.
The vanity area was redone with new dressers and shelves.
With the master bedroom, I try to keep everything to a minimal. Less things more white space.
Hope you enjoyed my little tour of the room!
